Honda CR-V Sold 388 Units Last Month, Hybrid Variant Still Popular

RiderTua.com – Even though Honda only offers two CR-V variants in Indonesia, this medium SUV can still be sold in quite high numbers. Even though throughout February, sales only reached 388 units at retail. But for Honda, these results are good enough. Moreover, the hybrid variant of this model sells better than the petrol engine model.

Honda CR-V e:HEV Still Sells More in the Market

The latest generation CR-V has indeed received a good reception in the market. It’s just that this model has also been criticized because the selling price is much more expensive compared to the old model. Not to mention that this medium SUV was imported directly from Thailand by Honda, it is no longer produced locally.

Despite the many criticisms, CR-V sales have been quite good over the past few months since its release. Even though hundreds of units are sold every month, these results are quite good, especially with the majority of sales contributed by the hybrid version. Moreover, last month, retail sales reached 388 units, up 11 percent from the previous month.

Two Variants

This result is indeed much lower when compared to other Honda SUV models, such as the HR-V, BR-V and WR-V. Obviously, because the model is imported from Thailand, the selling price is the most expensive of the four models. Not to mention the hybrid e:HEV variant which is priced even more expensive, reaching more than IDR 800 million.

Since it was first released in August last year, Honda recorded that 2.2 thousand CR-V units had been sold in Indonesia, and this is a good result. Even though once again, sales have not been able to catch up with the results obtained by HR-V, at least it could be quite good results for them. Of the two engine variants presented, hybrid is the best-selling variant.
