LCGC Car Segment Declines in Sales, Sigra Still Leads

Even so, the affordable price doesn’t seem to be able to increase sales better than the previous month. Sales results in the LCGC car segment last April only recorded 9,743 units. This result decreased by more than 40 percent from the previous month when 16,840 units were sold.

LCGC Car Segment Experiences Drastic Sales Decline

If you look at it, LCGC cars still have great potential to continue to record quite high sales results of more than 10 thousand units. It’s just that this could be influenced by market conditions, where last April sales experienced a significant decline. Of course, this is due to uncertain market conditions due to economic conditions and the large number of holidays.

Meanwhile, the 7-seater LCGC from Daihatsu, namely the Sigra, still leads its segment with 3,740 units sold. This result still puts him ahead of his four rivals, but if you compare the results with March 2024, the difference is clearly visible. At that time Sigra could sell more than 5k units, but now it can only sell less than that.

Market Conditions Are Not Conducive

If usually the Honda Brio Satya is in second place, this position was taken by the Toyota Calya which sold 2,021 units. Meanwhile, Brio Satya only recorded results of up to 1,817 units, even with a fairly narrow difference from Calya. Still, both of them are no longer able to catch up with Sigra sales which have exceeded 3.7k units.

Other models such as the Daihatsu Ayla and Toyota Agya sold 1,248 units and 917 units respectively. When compared with other models, the Agya can no longer sell more than 1,000 units. But these three brands are no longer able to do anything amidst car market conditions that are not very conducive.
