Will Nissan X-Trail Return to Indonesia?
It is clear that Indonesian people still recognize this Nissan car. Since it was presented in 2003, this model has become one of its mainstays until now, although currently the model has not received any refreshment. However, because demand in the SUV market is still quite high, it seems Nissan has decided to present its newest generation.
In fact, this fourth generation model has been launched since 2021, with Australia, Japan, as well as countries in Europe and the Middle East getting it. The X-Trail is actually also produced in Southeast Asia, both in Indonesia and Thailand. However, production has been stopped since 2019 for Indonesia, followed by Thailand a year later without any replacement.
Import From Japan
Even though production has been stopped, Nissan still sells it here even though it has to be imported from Japan. But at least sales are still running as usual, only without a refresh, the X-Trail is far behind its competitors. It seems that this is the reason why they will present their newest model in Indonesia.
Even though Nissan showcased the X-Trail e-Power last year, the model is likely to be launched this year. Moreover, the SUV has recently been registered here, with a base price of IDR 468 million and IDR 492 million. Please remember that this price is not the official price, because it does not include other taxes, including import tariffs considering that the model will be a CBU model.
So you can guess that the specifications are not much different from the model in Japan. There is a possibility that Nissan will only sell one variant, but they could bring more variants.
