RiderTua.com – Tesla has expanded its sales network throughout the world by selling its electric cars. However, that alone is not enough, because they still have a number of areas that they have not yet entered. Now Tesla is targeting Southeast Asia as its next destination to expand its sales. They have a number of plans in a number of countries, including Indonesia.

Tesla Continues to Expand Its Electric Car Sales

Sales of electric cars are still continuing to grow to this day, even though it has been said that there is a declining trend in the market. However, brands like Tesla still continue to sell this type of car on the global market. Moreover, its sales performance is quite good, even though last year its sales were beaten by BYD.

After strengthening its brand in the European region, Tesla then targeted the wider Asian continent, specifically the Southeast Asia region. They see that sales of BEV models in this area are growing rapidly, so that it could become a location to sell their superior products. It’s just that they are targeting a number of countries to start, such as Thailand, Malaysia and Indonesia.

    BEV Car Battery Production

Singapore itself has been selling Tesla cars for a long time, while other countries only sell two models. So they then visited several large countries to plan investments in electric cars, both charging stations and BEV car production. That is for Malaysia and Thailand, while for Indonesia it is still unclear.

There is a possibility that Tesla could utilize the nickel resources available here for its electric car batteries. Indeed, there is a lot of potential, but until now there has been no continuation of the plans for Indonesia even though they have been discussed several times. Meanwhile, the products are still sold by general importers, even at prices exceeding IDR 1 billion.

Not to mention Tesla is starting to lag behind its competitors. In fact, BYD has already started selling in Indonesia, although production will follow later.
