RiderTua.com – The Yamaha FreeGo 125 has been released again with a refresh for the new 2024 model, but still has a sleek scooter style for city use. In terms of technical specifications, there are no changes to the engine or features, only this model comes with new, fresher color choices.
The Yamaha FreeGo 125 still uses a 125cc 1 cylinder, SOHC, air-cooled engine which is capable of producing maximum power of 9,4 Hp (7 kW) at 8.000 rpm and maximum torque of 9,5 Nm at 5.500 rpm, channeling this power to the rear wheels via transmission CVT like most other scooters. Of course, this engine is built for fuel economy, rather than performance.
It is also supported by a tank capacity of 4,2 liters, weighs only 101 kilograms and the seat height from the ground is only 780mm, very suitable for carrying in urban areas.
This year, aesthetically it is not much different from the previous year’s model. However, this time a total of 6 colors are offered, namely Black, Sand, Red and Blue (for the Standard type) and Silver and Magma Black (for the Connected type). There are 2 types, one looks more stylish with striping for young people and the other is more elegant with emblems and calmer colors.
For the price itself, the Yamaha FreeGo 125 Standard type is sold for IDR 21,7 million. Meanwhile, the most expensive is marketed at IDR 23,5 million (both prices are for OTR Jakarta).
Not to forget, since the last new model. Now the main lights have become bigger with LED lighting, there are also features such as a keyless smart key, a digital instrument panel that can be connected to a cellphone via the Y-Connect application, and a USB plug for a charger.
