RiderTua.com – Davide Brivio, Trackhouse team manager, aims to bring together former Suzuki riders Joan Mir and Alex Rins in one team. After Suzuki suddenly parted ways with MotoGP, Joan Mir and Alex Rins had to travel the streets looking for a team that would accommodate them, and they arrived at Honda in the 2023 season. Now Mir continues to use the RC213V motorbike on the official Honda team, while Rins moved to the Yamaha team manufacturer too. In 2024 the paddock welcomes back Davide Brivio after his time in Formula 1 and now the Brianza team manager can make Hamamatsu’s long-held dream come true in the American Trackhouse garage.
Trackhouse wants to pair Joan Mir and Rins together
It’s no secret that Joan Mir is fed up with the situation at Honda. Since his arrival under the auspices of the Gold Wings team, he was only able to finish in the top 19 (5th place in the 2023 Indian GP) and at the end of the MotoGP championship his contract with HRC ended. The world champion has no intention of continuing this ‘suffering’ and will probably sacrifice himself on a par with Marc Marquez, choosing a more competitive motorbike and even being willing to ‘drop down’ by being on a satellite team. And everything seems to indicate that Mir is on track to join Trackhouse.

Davide Brivio arrived at TrackHouse and at the start of the year wanted to make decisive changes to the team. Joan Mir may be the target of the manager from Lombard, so he collaborates again after a successful adventure at Suzuki, where he won the MotoGP title at the 2020 World Championship. However, according to Sky Sport media, Brivio’s project will go even further by appointing another former Suzuki rider, Alex Rins. Or, there will be American Joe Roberts who the TrackHouse team owner really likes.
All this conjecture will lead to a real revolution within the Trackhouse garage. Raul Fernandez and Miguel Oliveira will have their days numbered at the Aprilia satellite team and it will be difficult for the two of them to continue their partnership, because they are the ‘choice’ of Razalan Razali, the former owner of the RNF team which was taken over by TrackHouse. At the moment everything is still unclear, but Joan Mir has a strong intention to end the difficult two years with Honda and try to direct his career by collaborating with other manufacturers.
