RiderTua.com – BMW now has several i-Series models that it sells in Indonesia. Including the iX series which is now its flagship in the electric SUV segment, with the iX1 being the cheapest model so far. But suddenly BMW announced a price reduction for the iX1. Even though the price still exceeds IDR 1 billion, at least the selling price is more affordable than other i-Series models.
Since it was first launched in Indonesia, the iX1 has become the cheapest electric car sold by BMW so far. At that time the price reached IDR 1.447 billion, and that was the off-the-road price, which means the selling price did not include tax. However, the German automotive brand reduced the price to IDR 1.299 billion (IDR 1.337 billion for on-the-road prices in Jakarta).
It could be said that the selling price fell by IDR 150 million, even though this price is still above IDR 1 billion. But when compared with other i-Series electric cars, this price is quite affordable, because other models can be sold for more than IDR 2 billion or more. Moreover, this electric SUV from BMW already has quality that is comparable to its selling price.
BMW has confirmed a price adjustment for the iX1, and consumers who buy it now will get the latest fascia design. Now the iX1 grille is made as similar as possible to the petrol version, which is none other than the X1 which is also the cheapest SUV in Indonesia. Maybe they did this after receiving input from consumers regarding the iX1’s fascia design.
With this, the iX1 can be a tougher opponent to face for its rivals, namely the Mercedes-Benz EQA and Volvo XC40 Electric. Because when compared to its competitors, the selling price is more affordable, even though the XC40 is sold at an even cheaper price.
