BYD will Launch its Newest Electric D-Cab Pickup

RiderTua.com – It could be said that BYD is quite famous for presenting various kinds of electric cars on the global market. Some of them are quite popular, and their success made them the best-selling BEV car manufacturer worldwide last year, ahead of Tesla. Until now, BYD is still developing its newest products. One of them is an electric-powered double cabin pickup model which will be released this year.

BYD Ready to Present Another Newest Electric Car

Electric cars have become BYD‘s mainstay in recent years, even though they were not well known at first. However, as time goes by, they continue to present their newest products, of course with improved quality. They then sold it in the global market and achieved great success.

Most of its products are passenger cars, both SUV and sedan models, and consist of various variants. However, they want to present another model, now in the form of an electric-powered double cabin or d-cab pickup. This model is said to be launched this year, although the launch schedule has not yet been announced.

Compete with Tesla et al?

It may sound unusual that a brand like BYD can make a pickup, let alone a d-cab model. Because they always sell SUVs, even with quite good sales performance in the last few years. But that doesn’t mean they can’t develop other types of cars.

It seems that BYD wants to target the electric-powered d-cab pickup segment which is just growing. In this segment, Tesla and Ford lead with the Cybertruck and F-150 Lightning which are quite popular in the United States. Meanwhile, Toyota and Isuzu will also develop similar models, and will even be produced in the same year.

If the model is ready for sale, BYD will immediately launch it on the global market. This is due to the country’s regulations regarding pickup cars, so this model can become an exclusive model abroad.
