Hyundai is Ready to Increase its Electric Car Production in Indonesia

Hyundai Still Dominates the Electric Car Market

The Ioniq series has been its mainstay for the last few years, especially after production and sales of the Ioniq Sedan were discontinued. However, the Ioniq 5 and 6 have received a good reception from the market.

Even with the decline in sales that occurred last February, Hyundai will continue to focus on the BEV car market. They also have plans to expand their market by building an electric car battery production factory. Now with the factory completed, they can use these locally assembled batteries in their electric cars.

Expand BEV Line-up in Indonesia

The latest generation Kona Electric will certainly be the first BEV model to get this locally assembled battery. After that, other models including the Ioniq 5 will follow. Not only that, they can also increase car production, from 50 thousand car units to 70 thousand units.
