Honda Brio RS Leads City Car Sales, Agya GR Sport Increasingly Left Behind

RiderTua.com – The Honda Brio was still one of the best-selling cars in Indonesia last January. Even if detailed, the LCGC version is selling better when compared to the city car model. Last month alone, the Honda Brio RS only sold 764 units. But at least this result makes it far ahead of its new rival, the Toyota Agya GR Sport.

Honda Brio RS Sold 764 Units Last January

City car sales in Indonesia are actually still quite good, even though the several models provided have not been able to maximize the results. But at least the model being sold can enliven the market, which in recent months has seen a decline in interest. Of the several city cars sold, the Honda Brio RS is quite well known because of its sales performance so far.

Last month alone, Brio RS was only able to sell 764 units, and even then this result could not catch up with the results obtained by Brio Satya. But with these results, Honda’s city car can outperform its rival, the Toyota Agya GR Sport, which only sold eight units. Even though the city car version of Agya was just launched more than a year ago, it seems that this model cannot yet outperform the Brio RS.

Increasingly Superior

If you look at it, Toyota can no longer catch up with sales of Honda cars in the city car and LCGC segments. Honda has been selling in these two segments for a long time by relying on two Brio variants, both of which have been able to contribute quite good results. So it’s not surprising why the Brio Satya and RS can outperform the Agya GR Sport, Agya LCGC and Calya.

Meanwhile, Honda continued to trail Toyota’s overall sales in Indonesia throughout January. Even though there is quite a big difference in sales, both of them are still superior in their respective markets. If Toyota relies on MPV cars for its sales, Honda is more focused on SUV and LCGC models.
