RiderTua.com – Toyota is still maintaining its car sales in Indonesia with 23k units sold last month. Overall, sales results in the four-wheeled market have reached 70k units wholesale. Apart from Toyota, Daihatsu and Honda also recorded quite good results. Even with sales increasing by one percent, it is already better than the previous month.
Toyota Sold 23k Cars Throughout February
Car sales in Indonesia experienced a decline last January, with results that did not meet expectations. This was caused by market conditions at that time which were not yet conducive, not to mention the economic conditions here. But brands like Toyota can still record better results than before in February.
Total wholesale car sales reached 70,657 units, up one percent from January when only 69k units were sold. For more details, see the following list:
- Toyota: 23.525 units
- Daihatsu: 15.088 units
- Honda: 9.081 units
- Mitsubishi Motors: 5.994 units
- Suzuki: 4.993 units
- Hyundai: 2.428 units
- Isuzu: 2.245 unit
- Mitsubishi Fuso: 2.250 units
- Hino: 1.483 units
- Wuling: 1.200 units
Only Up One Percent
If you look, Toyota’s sales are still at the top with more than 20k units sold, as well as being the only brand with sales of more than that. Hyundai and Wuling are still brands from outside Japan that entered the top 10 car sales list last month. Even though there is Chery right below Wuling, they have to settle for 11th position.
The dominance of car sales in Indonesia still gives Toyota an advantage over its competitors so far. However, they are a bit behind in presenting environmentally friendly cars, especially electric cars. Even so, when it comes to hybrid car sales, they are still number one.
