Mitsubishi Confirms That The All New Triton will be Released in Indonesia

RiderTua.com – Mitsubishi launched the latest generation Triton in Thailand last year. This double cabin pickup car was then presented in other countries such as Australia and the Philippines. Now Mitsubishi plans to release it in Indonesia starting this year, with the model already registered. If there are no problems, they could show the model at GIIAS 2024.

New Generation Mitsubishi Triton will be Sold in Indonesia

The Triton has been a mainstay in the double cabin pickup segment for some time, and Mitsubishi is still continuing to provide refreshments for this model. The latest is the sixth generation model which was launched last year in Thailand, and the model looks more modern and sporty compared to the old model. This model was then launched in a number of countries, including Japan after 12 years of not being sold there.

Now Indonesia is the next destination for the All New Triton, and it is time for the model to get an overhaul. Mitsubishi claims to have registered the model here, and they have carried out a market test some time ago. If there are no problems, they will introduce it at the GIIAS automotive exhibition this year.

Still Imported

As before, the sixth generation Triton is still imported from Thailand, although Mitsubishi has no problem with this. Even the models sold in Japan are imported from there, although they could just assemble them. Either because they want to concentrate production in one country to make distribution easier or for other reasons why this model is only produced in Thailand.

But at least this latest generation Triton will be good news for double cabin pickup consumers in Indonesia. It looks like Mitsubishi wants to beat the Toyota Hilux, which currently hasn’t received any refreshment. It’s as if they are taking advantage of this opportunity to seize the top position from their strongest rival by preparing for the launch of the All New Triton.
