It is not surprising that this model is predicted to be a new challenger to the BYD Atto 3 and MG ZS EV.
GAC to Sell Aion Y Plus This Year
The name GAC may still sound strange in Indonesia, even though this brand is quite popular in the global market. They have a number of cars for sale, one of which is the Aion Y which is their mainstay in a number of countries. This SUV model has been offering the Plus variant since October 2022, and has larger dimensions than the standard model.
Even though it has larger dimensions, the Aion Y Plus still has a very compact design and the cabin is quite spacious. This model has a 360-degree camera placed in its front fascia. The LED projector is designed in a very modern way, and looks like a pair of wings.
5 Seater SUV
From its design, some might think that this model is a 5-seater MPV, even though the Aion Y Plus is classified as an SUV-crossover or CUV. In the car’s interior, GAC designed a simpler dashboard compared to models in its class. Although there are a number of buttons on the steering wheel to adjust the features.
As an electric car, the Aion Y Plus uses an electric motor with 201 hp and 225 Nm of torque. As well as two lithium-ion battery variants with capacities of 63.2 kWh and 68.3 kWh, and the car can drive 490 km and 550 km on a full charge. Apart from this model, the Hyper HT will also be sold in Indonesia, but perhaps the Aion Y Plus will be released first.
