Daihatsu Continues Rocky-Raize Production in Japan

RiderTua.com – Previously, Daihatsu was known to have manipulated crash tests on a number of its cars sold in Japan. As a result, production of several models such as the Rocky and Raize had to be stopped there, even the Gran Max had to be temporarily stopped being sold. But things didn’t last that long, with Daihatsu gradually restarting production of a number of its cars. Now it’s Rocky and Raize’s turn to be produced again, including the hybrid variant.

Daihatsu Rocky and Toyota Raize Hybrid Re-Assembled

Sales of Daihatsu cars in Japan were halted after local authorities discovered manipulation in the crash tests of a number of its cars. Once the problem is discovered, Daihatsu will immediately deal with the problem by temporarily stopping car production. Of course, this is done so that they can re-evaluate the crash test.

Models such as the Rocky and Raize Hybrid were also affected by the crash test manipulation carried out by Daihatsu. So production and sales must be stopped in Japan until further notice. Now Daihatsu has restarted production, including sales there, including exports abroad which have also been restored.

Problem Resolved

Indeed, because the affected models had their crash tests manipulated, the authorities in Japan stopped production and sales of a number of Daihatsu and Toyota cars there. Of course, this is done to prevent cars that have been manipulated from spreading widely in the market. Obviously this can be dangerous because the cars being crash tested are different from mass-produced models.

Meanwhile, Rocky-Raize Hybrid is still not sold in several countries, including Indonesia. Even though Daihatsu displayed this model at an automotive exhibition about two years ago, it has not yet been sold. They admit that they are still looking for the right time to sell it, even if the units are still imported directly from Japan.
