Nissan to Release Serena e-Power, Including X-Trail?

RiderTua.com – Nissan cars available in Indonesia are still quite limited, with MPVs and SUVs still dominating the market. Even so, now they are focusing on presenting more environmentally friendly cars after the success of releasing the Leaf. Apart from the X-Trail e-Power, Nissan is also known to be launching the Serena e-Power. Although it is not clear whether the two will be released simultaneously or not.

Nissan Has Shown Two e-Power Models in Indonesia

Both the Serena and the X-Trail e-Power have been introduced in Indonesia since last year at the GIIAS 2023 exhibition. Nissan will indeed sell them, but since then there has been no further news regarding plans to launch the two new cars. Now the news has been heard again, with both of them being registered here.

The Serena currently on sale still has a fairly modern design, even though the model is about to be overhauled. This latest generation model appears more modern and elegant compared to the current model. Of course, with e-Power technology, which has been Nissan’s mainstay for a long time and has been applied to a number of models such as the Kicks.

Prices Quite Expensive?

Like the X-Trail, the Serena e-Power is also registered in Indonesia, with base prices reaching IDR 417 million and IDR 440 million. Once again, this price does not include other taxes, including import tariffs imposed on CBU cars like this, considering that the Serena was imported directly from Japan. There is a possibility that the official price will reach around IDR 600 million, quite expensive but that is commensurate with the features it has.

Nissan has confirmed that they will launch this boxy MPV starting this year. But with the X-Trail e-Power also registered, it looks like there will be two e-Power models presented in Indonesia. That sounds quite interesting, considering that they have been serious about car electrification since presenting the Kicks e-Power and Leaf.
