RiderTua.com – Mitsubishi launched environmentally friendly variants of the Xpander, both low MPV and low SUV models in Thailand several months ago. However, so far they have not presented their model in other countries, including Indonesia. Mitsubishi has confirmed that the Xpander HEV will be released here when the time comes. Now they are said to have started registering the model.
Mitsubishi Xpander HEV will be Launched in Indonesia
Regarding environmentally friendly cars, Mitsubishi has several models sold on the global market. One of them is the Outlander PHEV which was sold in Indonesia, before it was discontinued due to a number of reasons, which also prevented it from getting the latest generation model. Then there is the L100 EV or MiEV which is the first locally assembled electric car here, even though it is still a commercial car.
In Thailand, they just started selling the Xpander HEV, and that also includes the Xpander Cross HEV. Even though there are no changes to its external appearance, this model uses a hybrid engine that is more environmentally friendly, so it can produce fewer emissions. It’s just that the model is only available there, while other countries, including Indonesia, haven’t got it yet.

Released This Year?
Mitsubishi seems to have prepared the Xpander HEV to be launched in Indonesia. Because they are known to have registered their hybrid technology here, which is embedded in a model that looks similar to the Xpander. Of course, this is a certainty regarding the launch of the environmentally friendly version of Xpander in Indonesia.
If it is only registered now, then there is a possibility that Mitsubishi will release it this year. It’s just that so far they don’t want to provide further explanation regarding the hybrid technology they have just registered. But this alone confirms the presence of the newest HEV car in Indonesia to compete with the Suzuki Ertiga-XL7 Hybrid.
