RiderTua.com – Toyota and Suzuki have presented a number of cars resulting from their collaboration, although the models are only sold in India. Most of the models are twin models of existing base cars. Now Toyota will bring back a car resulting from its collaboration with Suzuki. This time they will present the Urban Cruiser Taisor which uses the Suzuki Fronx base.
New Toyota Urban Cruiser Variant to be Launched in India
Sales of Toyota and Suzuki cars are still quite good, and India has been one of the countries contributing to their sales so far. If you look, most of the models it sells in this country are models resulting from collaboration between each brand. Of course, this car is not sold on the global market and is only sold in a few countries.
One of the models being sold is the Urban Cruiser, which is the twin of the Suzuki Grand Vitara. After presenting the Hyryder variant, it seems that Toyota is not satisfied with the variants it has presented so far. So they prepared a new variant which will be named Taisor, but this time using the Fronx base.
Latest Compact SUV
Regarding this Suzuki car, the Fronx has a design and features that are quite capable for a compact SUV. So it’s not surprising that Toyota chose this model to be the basis for the Urban Cruiser Taisor, it’s just that like other rebadged models, the Taisor will receive slight changes. Such as a honeycomb grille design complete with the Toyota logo, as well as a chrome plate to emphasize its modern impression.
From the teaser distributed by Toyota, the Urban Cruiser Taisor has a number of other details on the exterior, from shark fins, roof rails, to long LED lights at the back of the car. It is stated that there will be two engine choices, namely 1,200 cc from the Baleno and a 1,000 cc turbocharged engine.
It sounds interesting enough to look forward to the arrival of this newest compact SUV. Although unfortunately this model is only sold in India.
