RiderTua.com – Fabio Quartararo is entering the final year of his contract with Yamaha and with the competitiveness of his bike showing no signs of improving any time soon, the French rider is considering his options to move teams or switch manufacturers in 2025.

Aprilia is the team most widely rumored to be interested in Quartararo, and he revealed that there were initial talks taking place in the paddock.

Fabio Quartararo revealed that he is talking to everyone about his future. According to him, this is an interesting thing to do. It didn’t take months before he made up his mind. He will soon determine his own future. El Diablo isn’t saying it’s coming soon, but he won’t be waiting long.

How Quartararo will make his choice. “Money is an important factor for everyone. But I want a project that I like and allows me to achieve the results I want,” emphasized the 24 year old rider.

Quartararo successfully won the 2021 MotoGP world title with Yamaha. But then he failed to defend his title in the 2022 final race, because his bike’s competitiveness began to decline at that time. Even the 2023 season was a sad season for him.

Providing concessions means Yamaha can accelerate their progress. But team manager Massimo Meregalli admitted that significant changes to the bike could not be made in the short term. That means Yamaha is racing against time to convince Quartararo of their competitiveness in 2025, where other teams and manufacturers are also eyeing him.

Aprilia could offer him a bike that is currently much better than the Yamaha. Although KTM have a wide choice of riders including Pedro Acosta, they may have a seat for Quartararo  but Brad Binder is already under contract with them.

Even though it is the strongest manufacturer, Ducati has not expressed interest in Quartararo. Defending champion Pecco Bagnaia is under contract, but Marc Marquez remains an attractive option for the Borgo Panigale manufacturer, and Fermin Aldeguer will also be in the race for a seat at Ducati.

It looks like Quartararo will not exchange his bike (Yamaha) for another bike by moving to Honda. He maintains his reputation as one of MotoGP’s greats so the hunt for his signature could be a hot season decider.
