Kia Meets High Demand for EV9 GT Line
The Kia EV line-up is now quite complete with various models offered in the global market. One of them is the EV9 GT Line which is sold in Indonesia, which is the new flagship here. Indeed, in terms of price, this model is sold at quite an expensive price of almost IDR 2 billion, but that is commensurate with its quality.
Like the EV6, the EV9 GT Line uses the same platform as the Hyundai Ioniq 5, namely e-GMP (Electric Global Modular Platform). Because it is a premium class car, its features are quite complete, from ADAS, remote smart parking assist 2, lane keeping assist, highway driving assist 2, intelligent speed limit assist, and many more. Some of these features are difficult to find in cars sold in Indonesia, even other luxury models.
Sold Dozens of Units
In terms of sales, the EV9 GT Line last recorded sales of 70 units during the 2023 GIIAS exhibition. Kia can only produce 50 cars per month, so they have to meet demand one by one. The first wave of orders has been completed, while the second wave is still in process and the third wave starts this month.
Kia knows they are having a bit of trouble meeting demand for the EV9 in Indonesia. But they are already happy with the high demand they have received from consumers so far. Moreover, with the increasing trend of electric cars and SUVs in the market, sales can be maximized.
