RiderTua.com, Jerez de la Frontera – Friday (26/4/2024), Gresini Racing rider, Alex Marquez, set the best time in the 2024 Spanish MotoGP Free Practice with a time of 1:36.630 minutes. ‘Marc Marquez’s younger brother’ is followed by Marc Marquez (Gresini Racing) with a difference of +0.507 seconds. Meanwhile, third place was occupied by Maverick Vinales (Aprilia Racing) with a difference of +0.591 seconds.
In fourth position is Aleix Espargaro from Aprilia Racing with a gap of +0.673 seconds from the fastest rider in the first free practice session. Franco Morbidelli (Prima Pramac), of course, riding his manufacturer’s flagship bike, the Ducati GP24, was the fifth fastest rider with a time of 1:37.547 minutes. Sixth place was occupied by a rider from Italy, Marco Bezzecchi, carrying the Pertamina VR46 flag, posting his best lap time of 1:37.585 minutes or with a gap of +0.955 seconds, from the leading rider in this first free practice session. And next we saw Spanish rider Daniel Pedrosa (KTM Team) on his KTM RC16, driving with a lap time of 1:37.613 minutes, making him have to settle for seventh fastest. In P-8 there was a rider with ‘number-plate’ #33, namely Brad Binder (Red Bull Racing) driving with a time of 1:37.618 minutes, and a difference of around +0.988 seconds from Alex Marquez (in P-1). Continuing to ninth place, the rider from Prima Pramac (Jorge Martin) rode the Ducati GP24 bike with a time of 1:37.635 minutes. Closing the ranking of riders in the top ten fastest was Pedro Acosta (GasGas Tech3) with a time of 1:37.642 minutes, or with a gap of +1,012 seconds.
