RiderTua.com – Yamaha Philippines has re-released the Yamaha Sniper 155 or MX-King 155 as a sporty moped with the same engine as the R15. In Thailand, this motorbike is also available but under the name Yamaha Exciter 155 and it just received an update yesterday.
155cc VVA Runway Kitchen
The Yamaha Sniper 155 and the one in Thailand both still use a 155cc 1 cylinder, SOHC, radiator cooled engine with a VVA system, connected to a 6 speed transmission. This heart can produce 17.9 PS of power at 9,500 rpm and a maximum torque of 14.4 Nm at 8,000 rpm.
The undercarriage sector has been improved, namely telescopic front suspension and rear monoshock to increase handling and stability. Braking is front and rear discs with 2 piston calipers at the front.
The instrument panel has a full LCD, 12V electric power socket for charging cellphones, keyless smartkey system and assist & slipper clutch. The design of this moped is very aggressive, the newest since the last update for the 2021 model year.
Prices and Variants
Yamaha Philippines markets the Sniper 155 with 2 type options. Firstly, the standard Sniper 155 has a choice of Race Blu and Cyan colors, while the type above the Sniper 155R is only Matte Black.
This sporty moped is sold for 125,900 Philippine pesos or around IDR 34.6 million for the standard type and the most expensive type is priced at 145,900 Philippine pesos or the equivalent of IDR 40 million.
