RiderTua.com – Hyundai should have launched the latest generation Kona EV in Indonesia since it was introduced last February. However, they haven’t sold it yet, even though many people have been waiting for this model after it was discontinued. Now Hyundai has confirmed that it will launch the All New Kona EV next July. To be precise, when the GIIAS 2024 exhibition was held.
The Latest Hyundai Kona EV will be on Sale Soon in Indonesia
The Kona Electric or EV is one of two BEV models that Hyundai has introduced in Indonesia for the first time, apart from the Ioniq Sedan. Since then, they have started to present other models, including the Ioniq 5 which is quite successful in the market and replaces the Ioniq Sedan. Even though it is still on sale, the Kona EV is slowly starting to be discontinued.
Hyundai’s electric car sales are now being helped by the Ioniq 5 and 6, but that doesn’t mean they will only rely on these two models for long. Moreover, with the market developing so quickly, they want to add more models to offer consumers. So they brought the Kona EV back, but this time as the latest generation model.

All New Model
The design of the latest Kona EV is much sportier and more modern compared to the old model. Of course Hyundai will assemble it locally like the Ioniq 5, but with batteries that are also produced in Indonesia. So you can be sure that the Kona EV will be sold more affordably than the previous model.
Even though its presence has been awaited since last February, this model has not been sold until now. It looks like Hyundai still wants to prepare for sales, even the selling price has not been determined. Whether it will be sold cheaper than the Ioniq 5 all depends on the decision of the South Korean brand.
