RiderTua.com – Honda now only has one MPV car sold in Indonesia, namely the Mobilio. In fact, they previously sold another MPV in the form of the Freed, but then they stopped selling it because it was selling less well than rivals in its class. Meanwhile in Japan, Honda still sells it today. In fact, this model has just received its latest generation model which now offers a hybrid engine.
Honda Still Sells the Freed in Japan Until Now
Honda‘s MPV cars are still very limited compared to other competitors. Apart from Mobilio, they once sold Freed, but it didn’t last long with sales continuing to decline. Moreover, the Freed is less popular than other sliding door MPVs in the market, which is none other than the Toyota Sienta, even though this model was finally discontinued last year.
Meanwhile, the Freed is still being sold in Japan today, and the model has just entered its latest generation. The design is now made more modern, and at first glance it looks like the Honda Step Wgn kei car sold there, although with larger dimensions. The All New Freed has two types of designs which are separated into the Air and Crosstar variants, with the Air having a simpler fascia design, while the Crosstar is made more sporty.

6-Seater MPV
While MPVs usually have a 7-seater seating configuration, the latest generation Freed is a 6-seater MPV. Honda has provided anti-stain and scratch-resistant seats, but still offers comfort for passengers. Freed has two types of wheel drive, namely 2-wheel drive (2WD) and 4-wheel drive (4WD), as well as a choice of petrol and hybrid engines.
Although the specifications are still unclear, the hybrid variant will rely on a 1,500 cc petrol engine and two electric motors. Honda will launch it starting next month, and of course it will only be sold in Japan.
