Chery Omoda will Get the Latest BEV Model
Sales of the Omoda E5 in Indonesia have made Chery one of the best-selling electric car manufacturers over the past month. Of course, this is a pretty good result, even though the model was only presented a few months ago. However, the Omoda E5 has received a good reception from the market, even since the model was shown to the public last year.
After the success of the Omoda E5, it is known that Chery will release another Omoda model. This time there will be two models released, namely the Omoda 7 and 9, and both will be shown at the automotive exhibition next week. Chery itself has distributed a teaser for the Omoda 7, although it is a bit difficult to see a number of details on the car, there are striking differences when compared to the Omoda 5 or E5.
Global Release?
The Omoda 7 still carries the sporty design of the Omoda 5, only the front fascia will be made more modern with a more minimalist grille design. From the name alone, you can guess that this SUV will be placed in a higher segment than the Omoda 5, because the dimensions are very different. As well as an alternative choice to the Tiggo 7 Pro, whose design tends to be more elegant.
Even though an electric variant will be available, the Omoda 7 still has a conventional engine variant, or to be precise a 1,600 cc turbocharged petrol engine. Even though the model will make its debut in its hometown, it looks like this model will also be sold in global markets. Indonesia even has the opportunity to get the model first, such as the Omoda 5 which was released previously.
