Aprilia Offered Fabio Quartararo 4 Million Euros, Yamaha 12 Million Euros, Common Sense Which One to Choose?

RiderTua.com – Fabio Quartararo doesn’t have much choice but to stay at Yamaha at the moment, because the ‘Ducati Cup’ and ‘KTM Academy’ are already crowded and even elbow to elbow with the arrival of mega star 1000cc rider Marc Marquez. In the past, Marc was a rider who was famous for having the highest salary on the grid, but was willing to give it all up to get a competitive Ducati bike. However, it seems that Quartararo doesn’t want to follow in the footsteps of the Spaniard, at least he (rumored) rejected an offer from Aprilia worth 4 million euros… to stay at Yamaha with a salary of 12 million euros… In common sense, the increase in salary means that Quartararo is highly expected and relied on in the Yamaha project… At least this high level of trust from Yamaha makes him even more enthusiastic about building the success of the Garputala manufacturer in MotoGP…

Because KTM (with Pedro Acosta) let alone Ducati is no longer possible… The strongest in terms of performance and the possibility of moving is the Aprilia manufacturer, which has started a dialogue with it in the last few months. “What we are looking for are riders who are enthusiastic about our project. We know we have a bike that is capable of competing in the world championship,” said Noale Racing CEO, Massimo Rivola.

Piaggio Group doesn’t have the budget to play tug-of-war or fight with Yamaha in this situation, but they have a competitive bike. The RS-GP’s growth in recent years has been demonstrated by numerous podiums and near podium finishes but failing. In fact, in Portugal, Maverick ViƱales won Saturday’s sprint and would not have missed out on the podium on Sunday if not for a prototype gearbox failure in the final race that prevented him from reaching the finish line.

The reorganization and modernization of the internal structure and work dynamics makes Aprilia one of the most innovative and modern teams in the paddock. It even rivals Ducati in some areas. However, his offer was only 4 million euros, less than a third of the amount Yamaha had committed to him. Had the agreement with Aprilia included a pay cut, the situation would have been similar elsewhere. Ducati clearly has a target to field Martin, Bastianini, Marquez and the rest of the current squad for one of the few spots available.

Even if he wants to take part in the race with the Desmosedici, the rider from Nice has to go through a satellite team first, which clearly has financial disadvantages (very small salary compared to Yamaha) and status. KTM’s prospects are not much different from Ducati, but the Austrian group already has a strong satellite team and its future is guaranteed, especially after the explosive arrival of Pedro Acosta (GasGas). If Ducati and KTM are difficult to break through, but considering that Honda’s problems are as deep as Yamaha’s, the idea of joining Honda seems increasingly implausible. There is one difference, where Honda is less interested in other riders and less willing to talk and take part in the upheaval of the rider market this year.
