RiderTua.com – Toyota had announced the recall of a number of its cars in Indonesia to overcome several problems. From Avanza-Veloz, Vios, Yaris Cross, to Sienta were affected, and even then they had to repair tens of thousands of cars. Now Toyota has announced another similar recall for the Avanza-Veloz in the Philippines. This withdrawal is still related to the previous problem.
Toyota Recalls Tens of Thousands of Cars in Indonesia
So far, several models that have been withdrawn in Indonesia due to the recall are still being handled by Toyota. Indeed, they need quite a long time, because the number of units that need to be repaired exceeds hundreds of thousands of units. They admitted that this recall would take up to two years to resolve all the problems with their car.
There are three problems that must be addressed on models such as the Avanza, Veloz, Yaris Cross, Vios and Sienta. It turns out that this recall is starting to spread to other countries, namely the Philippines, with Toyota announcing a recall there for the Avanza-Veloz, including the Yaris Cross. Of course, with a similar problem, namely the front shock absorber which has less-than-perfect nut tightening.

A Number of Problems
If this problem is ignored, the nut can come off by itself, which will impact the stability of the car when driving. Of course, this is quite dangerous if the car is being driven on the road. Therefore, Toyota will fix it by re-tightening the nuts to reduce the potential for the shock absorber to come off from the car.
Actually, this is not the first time Toyota has recalled the Avanza-Veloz in the Philippines, because they carried out a recall several months before Indonesia received a recall. It seems that the problems experienced by the two low MPV models are quite serious, it is not surprising why the number of units affected reaches hundreds of thousands of units. Not to mention the Yaris Cross which is also selling well in these two countries.
