RiderTua.com – Car sales in Indonesia during January were not very good. Due to a number of conditions that make the market less conducive, a number of producers find it difficult to record maximum results. So car sales began to depend on car shows such as IIMS. Within 10 days of implementation, 19.2k units had been sold.
Car Sales Experienced a Decline Last January
As previously known, car sales in Indonesia are not running smoothly as expected. Sometimes manufacturers have had to face uncertain market conditions in recent years, whether due to the semi-conductor chip crisis or domestic economic conditions. Of course, all of this can affect sales significantly.
Last January alone, car sales experienced a decline which left manufacturers unable to do much. Because this condition was influenced by the economic situation in Indonesia in the previous few months, so sales could not be maximized. Because of this, some of them hope that automotive exhibitions like IIMS can increase their sales.

Sales Results Can Be Increased
During the 10 days the exhibition was held, it was recorded that around 19.2k cars were sold. This is quite a good figure, even though it almost reached 20k units, at least it is a very satisfying result. Moreover, if you compare total transactions with last year, there was an increase of up to 27.7 percent.
Of this figure, 35 percent of them are electric cars or BEVs. There can be no doubt about it, considering that now more and more manufacturers are selling this type of car in Indonesia, including the presence of new brands such as BYD. Some of them have also started sales of their flagship BEV models, such as Chery and MG Motor.
Now manufacturers hope that this exhibition can increase car sales. Of course, with the large number of models ordered, sales should be able to increase even further.
