RiderTua.com – Daihatsu and several other car brands in Indonesia experienced a significant decline in sales last April. Several causes, such as economic conditions at home and abroad, are among those that have caused a significant decline. Meanwhile, Daihatsu Sigra remained the best-selling car in Indonesia last month, followed by Toyota Rush and Kijang Innova. Other models such as the Honda Brio and Daihatsu Gran Max Pick-up have fallen out of the top three positions.
Daihatsu Sigra Still the Best Selling Car Last Month
Usually for a car like the Sigra, sales can exceed 5 thousand units per month, but last April it was quite different from March. Because LCGC cars from Daihatsu can only sell 3,740 units of cars, a drastic decrease from the previous month which reached 5,674 units. Although this model remains one of the best-selling cars in Indonesia.
Apart from Sigra, Toyota Rush and Kijang Innova are in the top three, with sales reaching 3,069 units and 2,803 units. It’s unusual for Rush to enter the top position, because this model is always outside the top five.
- Daihatsu Sigra: 3.740 units
- Toyota Rush: 3.069 units
- Toyota Kijang Innova: 2.803 units
- Toyota Avanza: 2.605 units
- Suzuki Carry Pick-up: 2.141 units
- Honda Brio: 2.033 units
- Toyota Calya: 2.021 units
- Daihatsu Gran Max Pick-up: 1.618 units
- Mitsubishi Xpander: 1.312 units
- Daihatsu Ayla: 1.248 units

Sales Have Not Improved
Meanwhile, the Honda Brio had to settle for sixth place with 2,033 units sold, and the Daihatsu Gran Max Pick-up was in 8th position with results reaching 1,618 units. Usually both of them can occupy the top position, but now both have been knocked out of the top five. Other models such as the Daihatsu Ayla and Toyota Calya are starting to appear on this list.
Indeed, car sales in April were not that good compared to the previous month. A number of manufacturers will try to find ways to increase their sales even further.
