RiderTua.com – Aleix Espargaro had a disappointing race at Jerez. After Monday’s official test, the Aprilia rider talked about the details of the Aprilia MotoGP project. “I can’t say much. The positive thing I can talk about is that I adjusted my position on the bike a little bit,” he said.
“We analyzed the braking positions of other riders in video studies and made some improvements ourselves. Then I tried to shift my body a little forward. After taking a long time, it was difficult to change it but in the end it worked,” added the 34 year old rider.
Aleix Espargaro: Experimenting with Adjusting Body Position on a bike

Aleix Espargaro tried to analyze that they often change the size by only a few millimeters so it’s confusing to go up or down by 1 millimeter, but in the end the body is the biggest part of the package which also makes a big difference.
“I did several fast laps with medium tires. That’s why I’m happy. I feel better compared to other compounds. I didn’t use the soft version today,” explained the Papa of the twins Max and Mia.
Maverick Vinales‘ teammate revealed, “Today we tried the new Michelin rear tire with a different casing… but the temperature of the tire got very hot… it failed. I was the first to try the tire, we have to wait and see what the other riders say . For me it’s a big burden in terms of responsibility.”
Regarding the decision on the future of his racing career, Pol Espargaro’s older brother (KTM test rider) said that he could not say anything about it. “I talked a lot with Romano (Albesiano) about the development of the 2025 bike and plans to improve it. However, I remain fully focused on the 2024 season and helping Aprilia with its development. Then we’ll see what happens in the next few weeks,” concluded Aleix Espargaro.
