Although only Suzuki and Toyota have adjusted the selling price of their HEV models, the other brands have not. While the price of hybrid cars is starting to move, there is still no price increase for electric cars. At least for now, even though some have raised the price tag since last month.
Hybrid Cars Have Many Interests in Indonesia
If you look at sales, hybrid cars sell the most when compared to electric cars. Of course, that’s not surprising, considering that many hybrid cars are now sold at quite affordable prices. Moreover, its fuel efficiency is quite good, making it an alternative to conventional cars or ICE.
But it is clear that environmentally friendly cars cannot avoid price increases that can occur every month. As was done by Toyota and Suzuki, where they raised the price tag for HEV models such as the Alphard-Vellfire to the Ertiga. Although Toyota has not increased the prices of all its hybrid cars, Suzuki has increased prices for all its models.
High Demand
Other brands that sell hybrid cars such as Honda, Nissan and Wuling still maintain their old prices. MG Motor, which has just released the VS HEV, has not simply increased the price of its car, even though the price is quite affordable. A different view is seen in the electric car market, where there is no price movement, both locally assembled and imported models.
But models that receive incentives can no longer increase their selling price because there are already regulations. Although some have done it, such as Hyundai when they released a minor change for the Ioniq 5 in the form of adding the Bluelink feature. Even though it is just a small change to the model, not a facelift or all new, the price increase is not too significant.
