RiderTua.com – It could be said that Daihatsu is quite superior in terms of selling cheap cars in Indonesia. Apart from Sigra, Gran Max has also been quite well-known in the market over the last few years, with more than 1,000 units sold every month. This was also proven by Daihatsu last month, where the Gran Max Pickup sold 4,551 units. These results increased significantly compared to the results obtained last February.
Daihatsu Gran Max Sold 4.5k Units Last March
Sales of commercial cars in Indonesia are still observed to be quite stable even though they were disrupted by market conditions in February. However, since then, sales have increased a month later. This is proven by the Daihatsu Gran Max which was able to sell up to 4,551 units throughout last March, and this result increased drastically from before, where in February sales only reached 3,234 units.
Meanwhile for the Suzuki Carry, sales only increased by around 700 units, so that now the model has sold only 2,758 units. Indeed, when compared with Gran Max, the difference is quite large, as if Carry is no longer able to catch up with its main rival. But at least these results have made Suzuki satisfied, especially since they have been relying on it for a long time.

Still Reliable in the Market
Then the Mitsubishi L300, which has actually been present for quite a long time in Indonesia, was only able to sell 829 units, even though the results decreased from February with 892 units. The Toyota Hilux single cabin did not suffer the same fate, where sales rose from 115 units to 267 units. It seems that of the four pickup cars in Indonesia, only the L300 is experiencing a decline in sales.
Gran Max can be said to have had quite strong dominance in its market so far, even being able to outperform Carry. Even though if you look at it, both the Carry and L300 have been around for quite a long time in Indonesia, but the popularity of the Gran Max is able to beat both of them. Even though it is a single cabin variant, the Hilux is still in demand in the market.
