GAC will Sell Its Cars Through the Indomobil Group
GAC (Guangzhou Automobile Group) Motor is an automotive brand from the Bamboo Curtain country which also sells a number of electric cars. They compete with a number of brands such as Tesla and BYD. Even though it has been around for a long time, GAC will only be present in Indonesia this year, with the Indomobil Group which will sell its products.
Later, GAC will sell two cars first, namely the Aion Y Plus and Hyper HT. The Aion is in the spotlight because of its attractive design, so it is not surprising that some call it an equal rival to the BYD Atto 3. Because both are electric-powered SUV-crossover cars, it is clear that GAC is challenged to sell it at an affordable price.
More Models
Because the production will be handled by the Indomobil Group, later they will provide the production site. Even though you already have the facilities, that doesn’t mean the model will just be produced straight away. GAC still has to make a number of further preparations before starting.
GAC’s presence will enliven the electric car market in Indonesia. Especially after two months ago BYD arrived with its flagship BEV model, even though the model has not yet been produced. But after GAC starts sales, the two will compete with each other, including other brands in the electric car market such as Wuling, Hyundai and Chery.
