From its first introduction until its official launch, thousands of units of this electric SUV have been ordered. Chery has also started shipping its units to consumers, with orders since August last year being prioritized. But some of them are old Omoda 5 owners who chose to switch to the electric model since it was first released. Maybe this sounds quite unique, because it is not usual for consumers to switch from conventional cars to electric cars even though electrification in Indonesia has just started. Although actually there is a cause behind it, namely the selling price of Omoda 5 and E5, which is quite a small difference.

Sales of the Omoda 5, whatever the model, remains the main contributor for Chery so far, especially with the results it has obtained.
