RiderTua.com – GWM Ora will be another brand presented by Great Wall Motor in Indonesia. In the future, this brand will sell electric cars, while Haval and Tank will focus on the SUV market. Starting in the fourth quarter of this year, the GWM Ora 03 will be sold as its first car here. And like the Haval H6 and Tank 500, the model will be assembled locally once production preparations are complete.
GWM Ora 03 will be Sold as its First BEV Car
Even though they presented the Haval and Tank first, Great Wall Motor still ensured that they would sell the GWM Ora in Indonesia. It’s just that they are waiting for the right time to launch it, because they can’t just sell it straight away. Even though the electric car market is currently growing rapidly, they prefer to launch it next year.
The BEV model that will be sold is the GWM Ora 03 model. From its design, this model shows a modern retro impression which is quite unique, and is in accordance with the type of model. Because of this design, many consider it an equal opponent to the Wuling Binguo, even though in terms of dimensions the Ora 03 is still superior.
Locally Assembled BEV
Then the Ora 03 has a battery with a capacity of 63 kWh with a range of 400 km when fully charged. Relying on a Permanent Magnet Synchronous Motor type electric motor, this car can produce 168 hp of power and 250 Nm of torque. Meanwhile, in terms of performance, the maximum speed can reach 160 km/h, and acceleration from 0-100 km/h in 8.3 seconds.
However, the price has not yet been decided, but if you look at the selling price abroad, the price tag could reach IDR 630 million. This price is indeed much more expensive compared to Binguo which is only priced at IDR 350 million. Not to mention that GWM will sell it in CBU form first.
But if the factory preparations are complete, the Ora 03 can be assembled locally starting next year. So the selling price could be even cheaper.
