RiderTua.com – Daihatsu can no longer be underestimated when it comes to selling its cars in Indonesia. Especially for cheap cars, Sigra, which was able to become the best-selling car throughout February, outperforming the Honda Brio and Toyota Avanza. Although Daihatsu still has to remain in second place in overall car sales in the same period. But this is a pretty good result, while Sigra remains its main sales contributor.
Daihatsu Sigra Tops Sales of Honda Brio and Toyota Avanza
Regarding car sales, Sigra actually has the opportunity to outperform rivals such as the Toyota Avanza and Kijang Innova, as well as the Honda Brio from the same segment. Last February, the LCGC 7-seater car finally occupied the top position with 5.5k units sold. Daihatsu Sigra can also beat sales of Brio and Avanza which only reached 4.6k units and 4.2k units.
The difference in sales between the Sigra and the Brio is quite large, although this does not apply to the Brio when comparing it with the Avanza. For more details, see the following list:

Still Superior
What’s interesting about this list is that the Kijang Innova, which usually occupies the top position, is now in fifth position. I don’t know what makes sales less than 5k units compared to Sigra which can sell more than that. Is it because of market conditions or is it because competition in the hybrid car segment is getting tougher?
Once again there are no cars from brands outside Japan on the list, and it is dominated by Toyota. Honda, Suzuki and Mitsubishi all have one model that sold more or less than 2 thousand units last month. Of course this is a pretty good result, although it is not enough to overthrow Sigra’s dominance.
