RiderTua.com – Jorge Martin once again proved his reputation as the ‘king of sprints’ in the early season race at the Lusail circuit in Qatar. The Pramac Ducati team rider performed perfectly to the finish line in the sprint race, even though he was under pressure from Brad Binder (Red Bull KTM).
Even so, the rider from Madrid, Spain believes that victory is not a guarantee of further success, because the competition this season is getting stronger
Jorge Martin : Doing everything to be able to take the lead from the start at Turn 1

Jorge Martin explained, “Without question, of course I’m happy. Qualifying was great and I feel very comfortable with this new record. Coming into the race with a win in the sprint feels great. But I think we still have work to do. Because I think, in the end Brad (Binder) and Aleix (Espargaro) have more speed and I have to look after them.”
“I also thought that if I didn’t lead from the start, I wouldn’t win this race. Overtaking wouldn’t be possible at that speed, so I really did everything to get into the corner first,” added new teammate Franco Morbidelli.
Apart from that, Martin also has no problems with tires. “Today’s tires were very good. From the second lap onwards the tires had a little problem, but after that everything remained consistent. But what is certain is that tomorrow (the main race) will be very difficult for me and also for the other racers,” concluded the 25 year old rider.
