Wuling will Continue to Increase Its Electric Car Sales
If you look at the line-up of electric cars so far, Wuling is quite ahead in the market in Indonesia. Air EV can be relied on in the lower middle market with its affordable price, Binguo which offers more complete features, and Cloud EV as the most luxurious BEV model of the two. Although the Cloud EV itself is not yet for sale at this time, the selling price has not been announced.
Meanwhile, the sales performance of Binguo and Air EV is still quite good, even with satisfactory results. Like the Binguo which became the best-selling electric car last month, although the results for the Air EV are still quite far off. It seems that the results obtained have not made Wuling feel satisfied, and they want to continue to be the leader in BEV car sales in Indonesia.
Flagship BEV Model
Wuling said that with their two electric cars, they were able to control 64 percent of the BEV car market share in Indonesia during the first quarter of this year. They have now brought the Cloud EV for sale in a higher segment than the Air EV and Binguo. Maybe the model isn’t on sale at the moment, but the Cloud EV has already found interest here.
Apart from that, Wuling has planned to increase the level of local component content for its electric cars. Of course, with the aim that the model can get subsidies or incentives in the form of price reductions, so that the price tag can be more affordable. Maybe Wuling can present more environmentally friendly cars in Indonesia, not just always electric cars.
