RiderTua.com – Tesla still leads global electric car sales in the first quarter of this year. They should be able to maintain that position at least for now. However, Tesla is still faced with threats from its competitors. So they decided to lower the selling price of their electric cars in three areas.
Tesla Reduces Selling Prices of BEV Models in Three Regions
The electric cars sold by Tesla are quite diverse in model, although some of the models offered are still less than their competitors. From the Model S to the Cybertruck, many consumers around the world are looking for it. Of course, not many people are surprised that they have been able to lead electric car sales in recent years, including in the first quarter of this year.
Even so, Tesla is still worried that they will be outperformed by their competitors. Because brands like BYD are able to sell electric cars at affordable prices for their products, as are other brands from Europe and Asia. Meanwhile, Tesla has long been known for the high prices of its electric cars, including in Indonesia, even though that is because its models are imported directly from abroad.

Want to Compete with Competitors
So Tesla decided to lower the selling price of its electric cars in three regions, namely the United States, Europe and the Bamboo Curtain Country. Although this is not the first time they have done this, because they have reduced prices before, but on a small scale. It seems that Tesla is starting to worry that it will be further behind its competitors.
How could it not be, sales of electric cars from brands like BYD cannot be doubted. In fact, they have a larger product line-up than Tesla, and have a large sales network in a large number of countries. Meanwhile, Tesla is still facing a number of problems with its cars, causing several recalls.
