Now Honda is presenting a new brand specifically for selling electric cars called Ye. It’s just that this brand is only presented in the Land of Bamboo Curtain.
Honda and the Newest BEV Car Brand Named Ye
Judging from the name, it is quite short and simple, and it is clear that the Ye brand will only be aimed at the Land of Bamboo Curtain. Later, Honda will sell a number of electric cars under this new brand, and so far three models have been shown. Consisting of the Ye GT, Ye P7, and Ye S7, with the P7 and S7 going on sale from the end of this year, while the GT will be released next year.
It is stated that there will be a number of companies handling the production of the BEV model. The P7 will be produced by GAC Honda, while the S7 will be produced by Dongfeng Honda, while the GT is still unconfirmed for now. All these models will use a new platform called W Architecture.
Only Sold in Land of Bamboo Curtain
In fact, Honda has presented the e:N line-up several months ago there, but it seems that this alone is not enough to meet demand in the market. Not to mention that Japanese automotive brands are already lagging behind their competitors in terms of car electrification. Of course Honda doesn’t want to be left behind any further and they are presenting more new models, but this time with the newest car brand.
As previously explained, Ye will only be sold in the Land of Bamboo Curtain. Although Honda still has the e:N series which is its new flagship at the moment, with the e:N1 starting to be shown and will be sold in Thailand. Indonesia will probably follow a few years later, because they have just presented a hybrid model.
