RiderTua.com – After a strong start, Jack Miller came back from the first lap in 3rd place at COTA. Then for a while, the Red Bull KTM rider was in the top 5 with a soft rear tire. But as the race continued, Miller continued to lag behind. In the end it was just a defensive battle for the Australian rider.
When he was in 9th position, Miller was chased by Trackhouse Aprilia ridrs and Fabio Quartararo (Yamaha). At the finish line he was only in 13th place, 24 seconds behind winner Maverick Vinales (Aprilia). “I started well and felt good too. The bike worked well in a group with other riders. From lap 7 onwards, unexpected problems suddenly appeared,” said the 28 year old rider in annoyance.
Jack Miller : Comfortable until lap 7. After that suddenly an unexpected problem arose

Ultimately Jack Miller was helpless in the race. He revealed that the left rear of the bike was not good, there was no increase in speed, Miller also lacked grip. It’s really a tough struggle for a rider with conditions like that. He just tried to block any riders coming from behind. He couldn’t do any more, he had already reached his limit.
The rider nicknamed Thriller Miller felt good at the start of the race, feeling comfortable until lap 7. “The bike worked better there than on Saturday. We had a fantastic package, I was able to fight against the rivals. But unfortunately this problem appeared (after the second lap -7).”
When asked whether the medium tires would make a difference, teammate Brad Binder explained that it was difficult for him to say. Those are the tires I’ve been using for the last 3 years and didn’t actually have any issues with them all weekend.
In 2 weeks, the next race is held in Jerez where last year’s KTM RC16 performed very well and Miller also had his strongest weekend in MotoGP to date.
After the first 3 MotoGP series in 2024, Miller is ranked 10th in the World Championship standings with 22 points.
