RiderTua.com – Daihatsu successfully recorded quite good sales results from Sigra throughout last March. With more than 5 thousand units sold, this 7-seater LCGC car has successfully maintained its top position in car sales in Indonesia. While Daihatsu was able to maintain its top position, the Honda Brio was still stuck in second place. Except for the Toyota Avanza which fell to 5th position after being displaced by the Innova and Gran Max.
Daihatsu and Honda Maintain Their Top Positions
There is no doubt about Daihatsu car sales, especially if the sales are contributed by models like the Sigra. Throughout last March, the 7-seater LCGC successfully sold 5,674 units, and that was quite a good result. Indeed, these results increased slightly compared to the previous month, but at least this is more than enough to maintain its top position.
The Honda Brio also remains in second place with 5,061 units sold, and when compared to the Sigra, its sales have increased drastically. What’s interesting is the Toyota Kijang Innova and Gran Max Pickup which occupy third and fourth positions with sales reaching 4,638 units and 4,551 units respectively. The Avanza itself had to drop two places with 3,615 units sold.

Decreasing Demand
Usually the Avanza can sell more than that, but for some reason its sales decreased from February, when at that time this LMPV model was able to sell 4,214 units. Moreover, the Gran Max Pickup immediately occupied the top five positions, because previously this commercial car was only in sixth position. Maybe because demand for the Gran Max and Innova was quite high during that period, but the opposite was true for the Avanza.
Indeed, Toyota is now relying on sales of the Kijang Innova since it got its new generation model last year. Moreover, the environmentally friendly variant has received a lot of demand in the market. But it was still not enough to reclaim first place from Sigra.
