RiderTua.com – Both Suzuki and Mitsubishi have low MPV cars which are their mainstays in Indonesia, namely the Ertiga and Xpander. Incidentally, both have environmentally friendly variants, although the hybrid variant for the Xpander is still not available here. Meanwhile, Suzuki and Mitsubishi compactly increased the selling price of their flagship MPV cars. The price increase can be said to be quite significant.
Suzuki and Mitsubishi Adjust Their LMPV Prices
Sales of LMPV cars in Indonesia are still quite good, even though the Toyota Avanza always leads sales in this segment. However, models such as the Mitsubishi Xpander and the Suzuki Ertiga have been able to become quite tough rivals for the Avanza so far. It’s true that sales aren’t that great, but at least both have environmentally friendly variants, which the Avanza still doesn’t have, at least for now.
Talking about Ertiga and Xpander, now both have received quite significant price increases. For the Ertiga, this model, which was originally priced at IDR 228.4 million to IDR 301 million, is now IDR 232 million and IDR 301.8 million. Meanwhile for Xpander, from the initial price of IDR 261.2 million to IDR 315.9 million, it rose to IDR 263.2 million and IDR 317.9 million.

Tight Competition
Even with this price increase, both of them still recorded quite good sales results. So far, both the Ertiga and Xpander have become mainstays for Suzuki and Mitsubishi in the low MPV segment, even though the competition is quite tight. Not to mention presenting environmentally friendly variants, where the Ertiga is ahead of the curve in this regard.
Meanwhile, Mitsubishi itself has not yet presented it in Indonesia, at least for now. They still want to sell existing models first, including planning the right time to release them. Even if later Toyota will follow suit by releasing a similar variant for the Avanza.
