RiderTua.com – Toyota is known for its hybrid cars which have quite good fuel efficiency. However, there are also several conventional models that are also fuel efficient, although some of them are not available in Indonesia. Like the Urban Cruiser Taisor which was just launched by Toyota in India some time ago. This small SUV is sold at an affordable price, but offers a number of advantages in terms of features and performance.
Toyota Urban Cruiser Taisor for Sale in India
Usually SUVs can have economical or wasteful fuel consumption, depending on the engine they use. For a model like the Urban Cruiser Taisor, this small SUV from Toyota clearly has pretty good fuel efficiency. The non-turbo engine can travel as far as 21.7 km/liter, while the turbo engine is only 22.8 km/liter.
Of course that’s quite economical for a car like the Urban Cruiser Taisor, even though the engine is taken from the Suzuki Fronx which is the base model. This model relies on a 1,200 cc engine with power of 90 ps and 113 Nm of torque, while the 1,000 cc turbo engine is capable of producing power and torque of 100 ps and 148 Nm. There are two 5-speed transmission options provided, namely manual and automatic.

This pretty good fuel efficiency is what makes the Urban Cruiser Taisor Toyota’s new flagship in India. This model was presented to compete against the Tata Nexon to the Kia Sonet, both of which have fuel consumption of 17.4 km/liter and 18.7 km/liter. So with this, the Urban Cruiser Taisor is superior to its two rivals for all the variants it sells.
Even though it is based on the Fronx, it is clear that the Urban Cruiser Taisor will not disrupt the small SUV market from Suzuki. So far, rebadged products from Suzuki and Toyota have never competed with each other for the market. Sometimes the two models can even compete against their competitors.
