After a long time, Mitsubishi will finally release the latest generation Triton in Indonesia this year. The model will be shown at the GIIAS 2024 exhibition.
Mitsubishi Triton will Get a New Model in Indonesia
Triton has recorded quite good sales results in the last few months. Even though there is quite tight competition from rivals such as the Toyota Hilux and Isuzu D-Max, this model remains one of the models sought after by Indonesian consumers. It’s just that Mitsubishi didn’t provide any refreshments for this pickup.
Actually, Triton has been getting its latest generation model in Thailand since last year. This model appears with a more modern and sporty design, and is supported by new engines and features. Even though it has been presented in Thailand, the model will only be launched in Indonesia this year.
New Model
Mitsubishi has indeed prepared various new models that it will sell in Indonesia, and the All New Triton is one of them. The good news is, the latest generation of this d-cab pickup will be launched this year. Later they will officially launch it at the 2024 GIIAS automotive exhibition.
The model will still be imported from Thailand, like the previous model and its competitors. Indeed, there is a suggestion from the Indonesian government to assemble it locally to make it easier to fulfill domestic demand and export abroad. Regarding this, Mitsubishi is still looking for the potential to assemble it, and for now they don’t want to discuss it further.
