RiderTua.com – Hyundai has launched the Ioniq 5 N as the first high-performance electric car from its N sports car division. This model has quite contrasting differences from the exterior, interior, to performance and specifications. Actually, Hyundai could have presented this variant for the Ioniq 6. However, they preferred the Ioniq 5 due to a number of considerations.
Hyundai Ioniq 6 Doesn’t Get N Variant
Maybe for a car like the Ioniq 6, a sedan could get a high-performance version. Moreover, Hyundai has presented the Elantra N in the form of a sedan, even though most of the other models are hatchback models. Except for the Kona, which is the first SUV model to get an N variant.
Now it’s the Ioniq 5’s turn to get the N variant, as well as being the first BEV car produced by Hyundai’s performance car division. They could present this variant for the Ioniq 6, while adding more high-performance sedan models. But they prefer the Ioniq 5 because it is the first model built from the E-GMP platform.

First Model
Apart from that, Hyundai N wants to try to work on an electric-powered SUV like the Ioniq 5. Because all the models they make are conventional or ICE cars, they are challenged to present the N variant of BEV cars. Not to mention that the Ioniq 5 is classified as a crossover-SUV car, of course this is an additional challenge for them.
But as a result they were able to develop a high-performance BEV car. Models like this may still be rare to find, especially for electric SUVs like the Ioniq 5 N, and this is a good opportunity for Hyundai to present this model first. As a result, they were able to make a sporty electric car that was accepted in a number of countries.
In the future, Hyundai will present its models in a number of countries. Including Indonesia, they will even assemble it locally.
