RiderTua.com – Indeed, Hyundai has relied on the Ioniq series in selling its electric cars globally. However, that alone is not enough, especially with the line-up which is still limited to this model. So Hyundai is preparing electric versions for other models, and the model in question is the Creta. Recently the model was seen on a test drive, complete with a new-looking design.
Hyundai Creta EV Begins Development
Electric cars such as the Ioniq 5 and 6 have been quite successful in selling on the global market, including in Indonesia. Even so, Hyundai still has other models such as the Kona EV which are also well received. But with the market potential still wide open, they then developed other models.
Creta is the base model for the electric or BEV variant, and it has become the right choice considering that the model is quite popular in a number of countries. It’s just not certain when the model will be released, but the figure is already starting to be seen on the road. A number of spy shots show a car with camouflage stickers which is thought to be a Creta EV or Electric.

BEV variant
From the design, it looks very different from the petrol engine model, where the grille is made more minimalist. The shorter dimensions of the Indonesian version of the Creta give an indication that this model is based on the facelift model sold in India. Other details are still unclear, including the features and electric motor it will use.
But with this, there is certainty that Creta will get a BEV variant soon. Still, Hyundai has not provided further explanation regarding the circulation of these spy shots. They still want to focus on selling existing models, including the Ioniq series.
