They previously recalled the Ioniq 5 and 6, but this time it happened again, involving even more models.
Because this recall was carried out in his hometown, where there were 170 thousand electric cars that had to be recalled. Not only from Hyundai, there are also models from Kia and Genesis, such as the Kia EV6, Genesis GV60, GV70, and GV80. This was done after a manufacturing defect was discovered that affected the working of the car’s software, and this system controls the charging system.
Can it Expand to Other Countries?
This issue is focused on fixing an issue with the car’s software, which causes the 12-volt battery to lose power even when the car is not in use. Of course, this is quite troublesome if the car suddenly stops because almost all the power in the battery just runs out. Hyundai and Kia will start recalling their cars in South Korea later today.
However, looking at the models affected by this recall, who knows whether there is a possibility that other countries, including Indonesia, will also be affected by the recall. Moreover, the Ioniq 6 sold here is an imported model from South Korea. For now, Hyundai is still monitoring developments.
