RiderTua.com – Despite getting good results in the Sprint, Jorge Martin was not happy with the feeling he felt when riding his Desmosedici GP24. After winning the sprint race on Saturday, Jorge Martin finished 3rd in Sunday’s race in Qatar. There was no duel with Pecco Bagnaia and he was unable to attack Brad Binder to take 2nd place, but the points (28) he put in his drawer were good enough to win the title this season. Of course there are things to improve ahead of the next GP in Portimao, but the overall situation is positive.
Jorge Martin : I’m Not Happy

The Prima Pramac Racing team rider spoke to journalists to analyze his race… “In last year’s race I finished 10th, this year 3rd, so there is an improvement. I definitely can’t ride the bike as I like. I don’t could use the rear brake well because of the vibrations we experienced in the rear. Today went better, but because we went much slower than yesterday. However, I am happy with the end of the race, because I did my fastest lap. But in general not , because I believe there is still a margin with the 2024 package. However, finishing first yesterday (Sprint) and third today with this feeling is a good result.”
Martin explained what happened at the start, when Bagnaia overtook him and then had no chance of keeping up with his rival.. “I was too on the safe side, Pecco overtook me and I think I lost the race there. Being behind the bike was against tire pressure increased, then I tried to stay with him but with the tire pressure problem I had to do what I thought to make the race go, otherwise everything would have gone wrong. Bagnaia has done a lot of work, a good move. I have to find something, because today this is truly extraordinary.”
Jorge hopes for improvement in Portimao.. The first laps are very important in MotoGP, the Spaniard admitted that he could have started better.. “The start went well, but I played it too safe. I thought if I had tried hard on the first lap “, I’m going to have a very different race. That’s how it goes, we have to learn. A lot of things depend on temperature and pressure, it’s not easy. We’ll see in Portimao how it goes,” he said.
