RiderTua.com – Toyota has seemed unbeatable in the passenger car market in Indonesia for decades. From MPV to SUV models, all of them are selling well in their respective markets with very satisfying results. It doesn’t stop there, Toyota also holds dominance in the hybrid car market. In fact, the models it offers exceed competitors such as Suzuki and Honda.
Toyota Offers Various Types of Hybrid Cars in Indonesia
If you look at Toyota‘s line-up of hybrid cars, the number is far greater than other brands in Indonesia. From Kijang Innova Zenix, Yaris Cross, Corolla Cross, Corolla Altis, Camry, to Alphard-Vellfire now have this environmentally friendly variant. The RAV4 is also included, even though it is a plug-in hybrid car (PHEV), and is one of the models of this type sold in Indonesia.
Other brands only have two or only one hybrid variant presented here. However, Suzuki has three hybrid models, consisting of the Ertiga, XL7 and Grand Vitara, although all three use mild hybrid technology. Even so, the selling price has become more affordable so it can sell well.

More Choices
Meanwhile, Honda has two hybrid cars consisting of the CR-V and Accord e:HEV, both of which are still relatively new. Unlike Toyota and Suzuki, these two models were imported from abroad, even though the CR-V was previously assembled locally. Meanwhile, Wuling, Nissan and Mitsubishi each have one model, namely Almaz Hybrid, Kicks e-Power and Outlander PHEV.
In fact, there are still luxury car brands such as Lexus and Mercedes-Benz that sell this type of model. However, until now the number has not been able to match the HEV model owned by Toyota. Because they have more choices, it is not surprising that they have quite strong dominance in their market.
Acceptance of hybrid cars in Indonesia is still quite high. Especially with the many entry level models on sale.
