Daihatsu Xenia Which has been Present for Two Decades in Indonesia

Throughout two decades, Daihatsu has sold around 730k Xenia units in Indonesia. The sales figures are quite high, especially since these results have been obtained for 20 years.

Daihatsu car sales over the last few months have been helped by models such as the LCGC Sigra and the Gran Max pickup. However, they still sell other models on the four-wheeled market in Indonesia, including the Xenia. It’s clear they maintain this LMPV car because it has been around for two decades and through three generations.

The Xenia (and Avanza) were first launched in 2004 in Indonesia, and at that time the models immediately received a good reception in the market. During its first year, the Xenia sold 22k units, while the Avanza reached 43k units. Since then, the Avanza has always recorded higher sales results than its twin until now.

Indeed, if you look at it, the Xenia is priced more affordable, but it is less popular than the Avanza in its segment. Although that is not a problem for Daihatsu, as long as they can provide cars at affordable prices, and with features that are adequate for low MPV models.
